Ashton Fisher Jimenez, M.S., LPC-S has spent her career supporting couples, families, and individuals attending therapy in Waco and Central Texas as they work to improve their relationships with themselves and others. She knows the effort it takes to set time aside to prioritize your mental health and healthy relationships by accessing counseling services, and works to break down barriers to engaging in the counseling process.

Ashton is a Certified EMDR Therapist and EMDR Consultant in Training. EMDR Therapy is one of the most effective therapies to utilize when there is has been a past event that was traumatic, confusing or upsetting that keeps you feeling stuck. By utilizing your brain and body's wisdom, EMDR assists you in developing more adaptive ways to cope with present stressors and heal from the past.
Ashton also has training in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT) and Gottman Method Couples Therapy. She enjoys assisting couples who are struggling to communicate, feeling unhappy or misunderstood in their relationship or are struggling to cope with life changes like parenting, grief and loss, difficult life circumstances, or past hurts and betrayals.
Ashton utilizes CPT, Person Centered Therapy, IFS, and ACT as additional supplements to her therapy. She enjoys supporting individuals who are going through difficult life transitions, struggling in their parenting, experiencing the loss of an important relationship, or feeling disconnected in their romantic relationship. Ashton is a Certified Sex Therapy Informed Professional (CSTIP).

What about questioning how others seem to manage while you feel like you're falling apart? I want to assure you that you're not alone in these thoughts and feelings. My goal is to help you find peace even during challenging situations or crises and to help you know what to do when difficult emotions arise.

With 13 years of experience in the school setting, 11 of which were as a school counselor, I've addressed various issues affecting youth, including anxiety, depression, self-harm, childhood trauma, family and relationship challenges, and self-esteem. I am particularly passionate about working with individuals struggling with difficult family dynamics.
In my role as a counselor, I will help you become more comfortable with your emotions by changing how you perceive and process them. Additionally, I aim to equip you with the skills you need to navigate and overcome your challenges.

Shannon specializes in supporting pre-teens, teens, women, and parents as they navigate the complex and often overwhelming challenges of life. She has experience working with individuals facing anxiety, depression, self-harm, trauma (including physical, sexual, emotional, and generational trauma), low self-esteem, family stress, and relationship difficulties. Whether someone is dealing with daily stressors or more significant emotional pain, Shannon offers a compassionate and nonjudgmental space to begin the healing process.
Her approach to therapy is grounded in warmth, respect, and collaboration.
Shannon believes that a strong therapeutic relationship is the cornerstone of effective treatment. She strives to create a space where clients feel genuinely heard, seen, and valued—an environment where healing becomes possible. From the first session, her focus is on building trust and connection, meeting clients exactly where they are emotionally, developmentally, and experientially.

Cherie Almand, M.S., LPC Associate works to cultivate a relationship with you to help you develop and create achievable goals for counseling. Cherie Almand, M.S., LPC Associate utilizes a structured process to assess and make a diagnosis based on the nature of your symptoms.
