Meet Mindy Bell, MS, LPC

Have you ever found yourself thinking, "Am I the only one feeling this way?" or "Does having these thoughts make me a bad person?" What about questioning how others seem to manage while you feel like you're falling apart? I want to assure you that you're not alone in these thoughts and feelings. My goal is to help you find peace even during challenging situations or crises and to help you know what to do when difficult emotions arise.

With 13 years of experience in the school setting, 11 of which were as a school counselor, I've addressed various issues affecting youth, including anxiety, depression, self-harm, childhood trauma, family and relationship challenges, and self-esteem. I am particularly passionate about working with individuals struggling with difficult family dynamics.

In my role as a counselor, I will help you become more comfortable with your emotions by changing how you perceive and process them. Additionally, I aim to equip you with the skills you need to navigate and overcome your challenges.

Shannon Yocham, MS, LPC Associate
Supervised by Ashton Jimenez, MS, LPC-S

Shannon specializes in supporting pre-teens, teens, women, and parents as they navigate the complex and often overwhelming challenges of life. She has experience working with individuals facing anxiety, depression, self-harm, trauma (including physical, sexual, emotional, and generational trauma), low self-esteem, family stress, and relationship difficulties. Whether someone is dealing with daily stressors or more significant emotional pain, Shannon offers a compassionate and nonjudgmental space to begin the healing process.

Her approach to therapy is grounded in warmth, respect, and collaboration.

Shannon believes that a strong therapeutic relationship is the cornerstone of effective treatment. She strives to create a space where clients feel genuinely heard, seen, and valued—an environment where healing becomes possible. From the first session, her focus is on building trust and connection, meeting clients exactly where they are emotionally, developmentally, and experientially.

Shannon views counseling as a partnership. She works alongside her clients to identify their goals, clarify obstacles, and explore meaningful solutions. Therapy with Shannon is not one-size-fits-all; it is carefully tailored to each individual’s unique needs, history, and strengths. She uses a trauma-informed and person-centered lens, honoring each client’s lived experience and personal pace for growth.

Shannon draws on a variety of evidence-based therapeutic modalities to support her clients’ healing and progress. These include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Person-Centered Therapy. She may also incorporate psychological assessments to help clarify symptoms and guide treatment planning, ensuring that clients receive the most accurate and helpful care possible.

Her ultimate goal is to help clients build healthy coping strategies, improve communication, increase self-awareness, and strengthen emotional resilience. Shannon’s work is centered on empowering individuals to heal from past wounds, reconnect with themselves, and move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and emotional well-being.
